About the Author
Bob Chew grew up in Barrington, Rhode Island, spending summers exploring and fishing the surrounding waters.
After obtaining a BA in Environmental Science from New England College, he followed his father as a boatbuilder before starting several companies engaged in environmentally friendly building. The last of these was a solar installation company, which he and his wife Lisbeth sold before moving to Mosquito Lagoon to pursue their passion for fishing, birding, and gardening.
Quickly becoming acquainted with the environmental threats to their new home, the couple joined the efforts of local groups working to restore Mosquito and the Indian River Lagoons to health.
